Party Animal

As you may of guessed by the title, it would appear there is a theme with the clothing designs lately. This could almost be a complete collection. However, I've done casual animal and work animal, so there was only one type of animal left to display - the party animal. Going for uber 80s styling, the animal print is all in the shoulder pads, and the plunge v neck and low back keep you feminine whilst you rock them.

The overall main material is a light silver colour with glittering thread running through, and it's long line, clinging near the hips with some bagginess around the tum for a flattering style for all shapes.

Let me know what you think peeps,

It's all in the accessories..

You can wear the most fashionable clothes in the world, your shoes could match your bag, your bag could match your hat, your top could be designer, but it's always the little things that tie a whole outfit together. Also, if you're stuck in a job where you perhaps don't have enough say about the outfit then it's these little beauties that let you show off some of your amazing personality.

Yes, I'm talking about the bling, the jewels, the gems, the accessories. One of my favourite places to purchase accessories is from the amazing Punky Pins. My personality can truly be shown through the beauty of their quirky designs. I'm a word nerd and scrabble-aholic, so the scrabble ring and matching earrings were a must for me. I then went on to buy one of their surprise bags, where you pay £10 for £25 worth of goodies, only you don't know what you're going to get. I truly did not care what I got, because I loved everything on the site so much that I knew I was going to be satisfied customer. In fact, I was ecstatic, as I received these which I had been drooling over because of the fact I am known for my impressively effective rain dance. Not to mention the chunky gold 'love' necklace, blue banana necklace and audio tape necklace I received for some eighties retro madness.

What am I lusting after now? I love the rock and roll rings, but unfortunately I'm rather chubby fingered, so I feel these may be a squeeze, though their new tattoo inspired collection is also catching my eye, especially the sugar skull jewellery.

All I can say is for those of you who want some bling to show your crazy side is head on over there. The difficult part will be deciding which pieces to buy first.

Shortly after writing this, I went on to purchase the moustache necklace and sugar skull ring...all in the name of blog research of course...

Work Your Wild Side!

As you may have guessed, I love animal print and bright colours. However, sometimes I feel that I wear them as almost an 'alter ego'. They are something I wear when I'm on my me time. Unfortunately, it feels that I don't always get a lot of me time and during the day I have to rock the respectable for work. I try to keep my work wardrobe 'me' by flashing in some sparkle to my outfit or kick ass shoes. So whilst the neon and animal print is in, so is the androgynous look, oh and lets not forget clashing prints.  Mix 'em together and what do you get? Some crazy cool shirt and tie combo which is office friendly.

As always amigos, lemme know whatchya think.

Time to 'Converse' about shoooooes!

Shoes, one of my favourite topics, which is why I'm currently obsessed with Converse. On their website you can design your own trainers, completely unique from anything anyone else has. And, to add to the personalisation, you can even have a word neatly embroidered in.

'Yeah yeah', I hear you cry, 'but what if someone makes some like mine?' -fear not, they change the materials and patterns options so regularly that you can never get bored. Endless amounts of personalised shoes are at your disposal. The newest tweak they've added is the ability to make your shoes glow in the dark. They also make a great gift, personalise them for a friend and show them what you think about their personality. I was lucky enough to receive a pair of these for my birthday, would urge you all try out their design site - if anything just for fun!

Because we all need some love...

We all need some affection, so with this design you can wear your heart on your sleeve (or chest!) and show your love to the world.

Quite simply, it's a public display of affection print tee, or P.D.A to be precise.

I am animal!

I heart huge dropped sleeves racer back vests, however, then there is always the debate about what to wear underneath. This is the inspiration behind the next design. The bandeau top underneath comes in a range of animal prints, which can be seen in the dropped sleeves and the detail slash on the racer back. The slash is to unleash that hidden animal in the wearer.

Just to really jazz things up too, the racer back would be available in white and a range of neon colours just to keep that retro quirky cool I love so much.

As always peeps, let me know what you think.

Just because I am in love

I am in love...

...With a pair of leggings.

Is this weird? Possibly. Are they deserving of my love? Definitely.

I am a complete retro 80's style nerd who likes quirky things in bright colours - you may have noticed this from my designs, and these leggings tick all the right boxes. Ok, so this blog was meant to be a place where I show you my designs, but you need to know what inspires me to be so in love with fashion to really get where I'm coming from, so I thought a few posts about key pieces that make me realise that fashion is a world of endless possibilities were allowed.

I bought these babies from New Look (www.newlook.com) and am as of yet waiting for my chance to crack out these bad boys. They bring out my inner 80's back-combed bouffant princess and I get a strange urge to dance to 'I'm Sexy and I know It' by LMFAO when I wear them. I just want to design the perfect tee to go with them.

I will marry these beauties!

For my sort of style, these leggings are perfection. Want some? Look here.

Enough said.

This could be a case for Skully!

Phew, it's been a long week. A long week with very little time for drawing, boo. However, all is now well as I have finished the design I started last weekend. 'Tis based on a traditional sugar skull. I love it's bright quirky colours, cheesy grin, heart shaped eyes and forehead bling. I also really like the light and shade behind it, it's like rays of light and hope in the face of death and all things grim. As for the background shapes, part of me wants them to be black and grey so that smiley skull sticks out, but another part of me wants them to be as bright and quirky as the rest of the design...so, I decided to post it up and see what you think.

I did play around with some colours in the background and this is how it came out...

So come on people, post up your comments and let me know what you think the colours should be!

I am not an animal!

We all know animal print is in, and fab way to lively up a plain old jeans and t shirt day. I heart animal print and I love bright colours, so I've thrown in some for fun to this design. It's a way to bring out your wild side without letting people treat you without the manners you deserve.

Send me thoughts readers.

A Jumper is for Life...

I have a confession to make...

I love Christmas jumpers. The tackier the better.

What makes me sad though, is the limited amount of time it is acceptable to wear one. Sure, we can wear Christmas socks all year round, because they can be neatly hidden under trousers and shoes, but wear a Christmas jumper toward the latter end of January and face the glares of shame. This is irritating, because quite often in the UK the weather is colder late January and February than in December, so this is the time we need these lovely snuggly jumpers.

All in all, these thoughts inspired the following sweatshirt design (yes, I'm trying to raise the popularity of the sweatshirt too!). It's cute, kitsch and can be worn whenever it's cold, which for the UK could bloomin' well be July.

And if that wouldn't inspire you, look at the sad faces of those thrown aside Crimbo characters...surely you'd want to make them smile?

Let me know peeps - especially if there are any other Christmas Jumper lovers out there!

Much Love,

I'm bringing sexy back

Ok, so time to whack up a proper design for a tee style. The inspiration for this look is the fact that I have a gorgeous tatt on my back that I barely get to show, unless I wear a halter or bandeau top which sometimes feel a little too dressy. I want something laid back yet flashy. I want to be able to customise a top style easy, like I do my fave pair of trainers.

Then the idea hit me, why not make a top with some trainer inspiration? V necked front and back with eyelets all around which allows the wearer to put through lace material and adjust the depth of the V. You can also then change the lace to fit your mood, colour or just leave it hanging free. Instant customisabilty (yeah, I just invented that word too). Trainerback sounded a little like a training bra, so I looked across the pond for ideas and named it the sneakerback.

As always fashionistas (and fashionmistas!) lemme know what you think.

Much love,
Noodle xoxo

Pretty Flowers!

Again, this a slightly tattoo style inspired design. The story behind this drawing is in fact that I was planning my next tatt. Whilst off long term ill with Endometriosis I drew this, the dark grey roots planning on going roughly where my majorly dodgy ovary was and the beautiful bright flowers blossoming up the side, as a symbol of the beauty and strength that so many women show in the face of a horrible illness. From thorny roots true beauty grows.

But now I'm thinking hey, why hide this design under a shirt, why not put it ON a shirt? (Plus I'm carrying a little bitty too much weight to pull of a tatt like this!). On a white or black tee going up the side the colours would look stunning, feminine yet strong.

One for Sorrow, Two for Joy

Those of you that know me know I am hugely superstitious when it comes to magpies. I still think they are the most beautiful birds though. This design is inspired by tattoo style drawing with some glam and superstition thrown in for fun. I thought as a tee it would work with either a bird on each side coming down the chest or a front and back design. Or it could work as two different tees to show whether you're happy or sad that day, though wearing one could be unlucky...

As always loyal followers, lemme know whatchya think!

A Plea from Noodle

Some of you may remember me as the Noodle from 'The Fashionable Life' blog set, some of you may be completely new to the wacky fashion world of Noodle. However, whether old pal or new acquaintance I need your help.

You may have noticed 'The Fashionable Life' blog's fizzled out. I've often asked myself why. I mean, I still love fashion every bit as much as I always did, but I guess writing about what everyone else was doing just didn't do it for me.

I want to tell you all about what I'm doing.

Which, currently isn't a lot, being that I can't sew for cookies, and I like cookies. But what I can do is draw and design. What I want to create is a line of fashion tees that anyone would love as it can express any facet of your personality. I am a huge fan of the slogan tee, as they can be as subtle or as loud as you want. They can tell someone everything they need to know about your personality or elude to your mysterious side, they can be dressed up or down, they can be fun or philosophical, quite frankly they are whatever takes your fancy.

Now this is where I need you.

I don't own an impressive t-shirt printer, and those home sets look cheap and nasty. What I aim to do here is to show you all my designs as I do them, gain a huge ass following and convince some kind hearted fashion company to give me the break I need by putting these babies into production. After all, if Justin Beiber  managed to get famous over the tinterweb anything's possible, right?

So all I ask is you follow this. Tell your friends. Make them follow this and tell their friends. If companies see the demand for my designs, then we may just start a tee revolution.

And to thank you for your following - feel free to hit me up with design ideas - I currently take requests.

Love,
Noodle xx

P.S Watch this space for the first lot of design ideas....
